Around 50 artists dedicated three months to the creation of an extraordinary noble silk deel, the traditional Mongolian garment, which was recognized as the largest Mongol deel in the world. The monumental piece measured 14 meters in height and 18 meters in width.
Inspired by the design of a historic noble silk robe discovered in Delgerkhaan soum of Khentii aimag, the deel featured royal patterns symbolizing the grandeur and enduring legacy of Mongolian culture and heritage.
The creation combined traditional Mongolian craftsmanship with intricate Mongol motifs and embroidery. Made from a rich blend of fabric, silk, leather, golden threads, and decorative ropes, the masterpiece reflected the Mongols’ refined artistry, sophisticated design techniques, and distinctive cultural identity.
The artists behind the project were members of the “Batzuu” company. The monumental deel was preserved as a cultural and historical treasure and was displayed at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum’s exhibition hall until February 24, 2026.
