Beijing – A delegation led by Uchral Nyam-Osor, Chairman of the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) and Speaker of the State Great Khural, met Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CCP), on March 24 at the Great Hall of the People.
The visit was made at the invitation of the CCP and marked Uchral’s first overseas trip in his capacity as party chairman.
During the meeting, Uchral said the 105-year history of relations between the MPP and the CCP has played an important role in Mongolia’s development. He also congratulated China on holding the fourth session of the 14th National People’s Congress and adopting its 15th Five-Year Plan.
He noted that Mongolia-China relations are advancing steadily under the strategic leadership of the two countries’ heads of state, with tangible progress seen in major development projects discussed in recent years.
The speaker подчеркed that the two sides continue to respect each other’s sovereignty, independence and development path, reaffirming Mongolia’s support for the One China policy. He also expressed Mongolia’s intention to continue supporting initiatives proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, including the Belt and Road Initiative.
Cai Qi welcomed the visit, saying inter-party relations form a strong foundation for bilateral ties. He expressed readiness to expand cooperation through regular exchanges, particularly among young people.
The Chinese side also reaffirmed its willingness to work with Mongolia to advance joint projects and agreements reached at the highest level. It said priority would be given to cooperation in areas such as renewable energy, infrastructure and urban development, with further studies to be conducted on these initiatives.
