Today, January 27, marks the 39th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the United States. Since the partnership between the two countries began in 1987, Mongolia–U.S. relations have continued to strengthen democratic values, deepen people-to-people ties, and promote peace, security, and prosperity in both nations. This year also marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. U.S. Ambassador to Mongolia Richard Buangan extended his congratulations, stating in a message shared on social media: “Today, January 27, we celebrate 39 years of diplomatic relations between the United States and Mongolia Since 1987, our partnership has strengthened democratic values, fostered people-to-people ties, and promoted peace, security, and prosperity for both our nations. Happy anniversary to the enduring friendship between the United States and Mongolia".
