Matilda Dimovska, UNDP Resident Representative in Mongolia, met with Minister Batshugar Enkhbayar and Vice Minister Bayarkhuu Ganjav of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Communications to discuss next steps in accelerating Mongolia’s Digital First Policy and advancing the country’s 2026–2030 digital transformation goals.
During the meeting, UNDP and the Ministry agreed to build on Mongolia’s successful DEMOSC digital inclusion model, with plans to scale digital literacy initiatives nationwide. The approach will combine community-level delivery across provinces with a coordinated public awareness campaign, enabling citizens and frontline service providers to confidently access and use Digital First e-services.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of strengthening responsible artificial intelligence governance. Both sides emphasized cooperation on developing a national AI ethics framework and practical guidance to ensure that the growing use of AI in public services remains safe, transparent, and inclusive.
