The Government of Mongolia has decided to extend visa-free travel for citizens of 34 countries visiting Mongolia for tourism purposes for stays of up to 30 days. The measure has been extended by one additional year and will remain effective through the end of 2026.
Of the 34 countries covered by the extension, 32 are European nations, while the remaining two are from the Oceania region. Under the decision, citizens of Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Greece, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Sweden, Estonia, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Romania, Ireland, Cyprus, Monaco, and the United Kingdom, as well as Australia and New Zealand, may enter Mongolia visa-free for tourism or short-term travel for up to 30 days.
In addition to these countries, citizens of 30 other nations are also eligible for visa-free travel to Mongolia for tourism purposes, with permitted stays ranging from 14 to 90 days, depending on nationality.
As part of the “Visit Mongolia Year” programme, Mongolian authorities have also confirmed the extension of visa-free entry for South Korean nationals, allowing tourist stays of up to 90 days. This exemption will remain valid through December 31, 2026.
According to official data, the Immigration Agency of Mongolia issued 124,945 visas in 2025, representing a 14.18 percent increase compared to the previous year.
