Training sessions under the “Women’s Digital Safety” programme have officially begun as part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, which this year is being observed worldwide under the theme “Unite to Combat Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence.”
The programme is being implemented by the United Nations Association of Mongolia within the framework of the European Union–funded DICE Project (“Deepening Digital Civic Engagement by Empowering Civil Society Organisations”), with the support of People in Need.
Through a series of structured trainings and discussions, the initiative addresses key issues such as technology-facilitated gender-based violence, gender equality and peace, as well as safety and protection in digital environments. The programme aims to strengthen women’s knowledge, resilience, and confidence in online spaces, while encouraging meaningful and inclusive digital participation.
The training sessions are being conducted online between 6 and 20 January 2026. A hybrid discussion session scheduled for 20 January will provide participants with an opportunity to share their perspectives and contribute to policy-related documents.
By taking part in the programme, participants are expected to deepen their understanding of technology-facilitated gender-based violence, media and information literacy, and the United Nations Women, Peace and Security agenda. Active participants will receive certificates upon completion of the trainings and discussions.
