The 27th regular meeting of the Mongolia–Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was held in Ulaanbaatar on December 19, 2025.
Following the meeting, Mongolia’s Deputy Prime Minister Gankhuyag Khassuuri and Russia’s Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Alexander Aleksandrovich Kozlov signed the official Protocol of the session.
As part of the meeting outcomes, several bilateral documents were concluded. These included a Memorandum of Understanding between Mongolia’s General Authority for Land Administration, Geodesy and Cartography and Russia’s Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography, as well as a 2026–2028 cooperation plan in physical education and sports between Mongolia’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.
During the commission’s discussions, the two sides reviewed the implementation of decisions adopted at the 26th meeting and explored ways to further strengthen bilateral relations. Particular emphasis was placed on expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, advancing the Interim Free Trade Agreement between Mongolia and the Eurasian Economic Union, and updating the programme for establishing the Mongolia–Russia–China Economic Corridor.
The parties also exchanged views on deepening cooperation in a wide range of sectors, including regional forums, industrial product supply, tourism, science, agriculture, health and epidemiology, culture, and sports. They agreed on key initiatives to be implemented in the coming years and on measures to accelerate both ongoing and planned joint projects.
