Mongolia’s national memory sports team claimed the overall team championship at the 2025 World Memory Championships, held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, marking another major international success for the country in cognitive sports. The competition brought together elite memory athletes from numerous countries, including Australia, China, India, and European nations, who competed across ten demanding memorization disciplines.
Mongolian athlete O.Naranzul, holding the title of International Grand Master, delivered a standout performance to become the Overall World Champion, recording the highest combined score of the championship. She also secured the Junior World Champion title in her age category, further cementing Mongolia’s dominance in the competition.
A remarkable achievement was recorded by 13-year-old Misheel Batzorig of Mongolia, who was crowned World Kids Champion. She won multiple medals during the championship and set two new world records, earning the International Master title at a young age. Other Mongolian competitors, including G.Erdenegerel, N.Maral, B.Lkhagvadorj, and N.Nomin, also placed among the top performers in their respective categories.
In the final team rankings, Mongolia finished first, followed by Australia in second place and China in third, highlighting Mongolia’s continued leadership in memory sports on the global stage. The World Memory Championships test participants’ ability to memorize numbers, words, images, names and faces, and historical dates under strict time limits.
